You can’t teach me a lesson I have to learn

“Don’t you want to compliment her brain, her attitude?
All you see are material things.”

“Well I don’t find her brain beautiful or forward thinking, I don’t find her personality humbling or sweet.
Anyway I’ve always been materialistic. It’s not something new.”

“No you haven’t. Audemars and Birkins’ were never this important to you.”

“Maybe not those items specifically; but looks, money, social class, have always been important to me.
Among the ten things I look for in people, they’re on my list. Is that so wrong.”

“Yes. Life is more than money and objects.”

“Right. For you it’s about telling people what they should do and how they should live their lives.
Well, I don’t want to be intrusive, I just want to be happy.”
